pocketnaomi got me a hat for cold weather. This kept my head warm until I lost it about a year or so ago.
But, I'd seen similar hats for sale on St. Mark's, so I picked one up. This had an odd advantage: the next time someone asked where I'd gotten the cool hat, I could actually give a location, albeit a different one than where the original hat had been purchased from.
Whenlordess was in town some months earlier, she bought one on St. Mark's as well. By then, I'd lost the second hat. I know where I lost the first hat, but not where or when I lost the second hat.
This week, I picked up Hat #3, in time for the start of the cold (by NYC standards) weather.
