I kept trying to set my tablet's power settings for hibernating and stand by. They kept re-setting. Hm.
I took a closer look and saw that the settings were tied to a profile name. I added a couple of profiles and tried to delete one of the ones I added. At first, it wouldn't delete. Then, I tried again a few times, closed up the control panel, and reopened it.
Both of my new profiles were gone, as were all but two of the original ones. Huh?
Fine. I killed one of the original ones, leaving me with one setting. I changed that one.
I closed everything up, then opened it and checked on my settings. So far, they are as I left them. We shall see.
