Footnote on Death Note

I'm reading volume 13 of the manga Death Note, the one with interviews of the author and the artist. I see that a lot of choices were just that, choices, and while I'm still not convinced they were the right ones, it's nice to know that the author put a lot of thought into things. agrumer tells me that, while he wasn't enamoured of the manga, the anime is gripping. I can believe that. I'd like to see it.
