Yesterday, I played phone tag with my doctor, but did get to speak to him.

"So, what is this about things falling on your head on Friday?" he asked.

I told him what had happened and what we'd done. He asked how I was feeling right then, e.g., about 5 pm, three days later. I was feeling good, and said so. The heat and humidity were bothering me more than my head.

He said that we'd done all the correct things (ice on the head, checking the pupils, and so on), and said that the injury was "inconsequential".

"Inconsequential injury." I like the way that rolls off the tongue.

Currently, the head's throbbing on and off, which I think is soreness / swelling. I iced it, which helped. The head throbs less when I'm more active and more when I'm laying down.
