Finished HP5. At least it didn't take long. But I far preferred re-reading Fall of the Kings. The Man in the Iron Mask was overall fun, though Aramis' second Dumb Mistake that Fuels the Plot really is unmitigatedly stupid. Anyway, gotta loan HP5 to [livejournal.com profile] redbird so she and [livejournal.com profile] cattitude can read it.

Well, it beats sticking my fingers in my ears, or humming Really Loudly while others talked about the book, which is what I did Friday before last. I'd gone to the origami convention and got a lot of paper and books and started folding at [livejournal.com profile] bigscary's. And humming while folks talked about it. And learnign Jeremy Schafer's dialect of origami, as distinct from, say, John Montroll's. There are definite folds and fold sequences that mark the creators of models.

Hm, got about a 2 foot stack of books to cram into my shelves. If I can just find that many books to get rid of...

Got Summerlands and McKillip's latest to read, but I think I want to read something I pick first.

And GenCon Indy's coming up soon. New restaurants to check out.

I walked by [livejournal.com profile] mnemex, and he had a mug of sekanjuban. I took a sip (with his consent), replaced the mug, and went into the study.

When I came out, not long after, there were three mugs on that tiny table, which was also holding his laptop, clearly having a tea cup party.

Then, we changed the kitchen lights. When I glanced into the sink, the three mugs were in it, looking very innocent.

Meanwhile, I've managed to re-arrange of few things so all my origami books more or less fit where I want them to, and so I've got about 6 inches fewer of books to cram in.
