Today, I read this on Yahoo News.
In high school, in college, in grad school, it never would have crossed my mind that Russia's reaction to the USA launching the shuttle would be relief. I would never have guessed that Russia would be thinking of the USA as a necessary partner for a space program. I would never have dreamed that a Russian spokesman would be describing a vision of a multicultural, multinational crew for a space station.
I want more surprises like this.
