[livejournal.com profile] mnemex, [livejournal.com profile] ebartley, and I visited [livejournal.com profile] agrumer and tried out Primetime Adventures, a roleplaying game which models itself on television and has minimalistic rules. We ran two different pilots and decided that, on the whole, both went well. Next time, I would like to see more roleplaying and more character based scenes, fewer conflicts involving fights (though that worked out fine for the pilot, I think), less worrying about whether there is an Official Conflict in a scene, and slightly less aggressive scene framing. That is, I think we thought that the person who decided what a given scene was to be about had to do more work than is actually indicated by the rules.

But, so far, so good, and I'll probably write up the sessions for both The Forge and Alarums and Excursions.
