The strike ended just too late for us to have a fourth session of Sorcerer. Then again, I'd have counted us lucky to have fit one in this year, and we fit in three.

Friday, I decided to walk to work anyway. It takes the same amount of time as the train, and I didn't want to be in the first few runs of the train. Work closed early, and I decided to walk. Again, I didn't want to schlep on the train. I could have gotten a lift home, as I had during the strike, but I decided I wanted to stop at the post office en route.

Friday evening, [livejournal.com profile] mnemex and I took the train into Flushing for dinner at Spicey and Tasty, and then into the city, to Union Square for Columbia Games Club in Exile. Today, we went into the city to visit the Strategist and Jim Hanley's Universe, then grabbed dinner and dessert.

I'm reading Vampire: The Requiem, and getting annoyed at the emphasis on how vampirism is a curse, not in any way a blessing. Okay, so why should I buy an rpg about playing a vampire, then, when the authors are going to such pains to make sure I know it's not supposed to be fun? I do like their use of "tonight" rather than "today" when discussing the contemporary world of Vampire. It's a nice touch.
