They Held a Fire, But We Weren't There

We are at Contata and safe. The super called to say there was a fire in the building. I think basic damage to our apartment was firemen breaking down door and boarding up windows. I don't know when we'll be allowed in to live, but the super thinks we can at least collect stuff on Monday when we return. I'm freaking out, but we are safe. I called the insurance company and was told it is fine and likely better to call back Tuesday, when I will know more, including whether we might be able to return home to live in the forseeable future.

The fire started in the apartment across the hall, and the two people there are now at Cornell. The super said that they were burned badly, and I am praying that they will be all right.
