We are at BWI, delighted to realize our bags are within the weight limit. If my information is correct, about an hour and ten minutes until we can check baggage, and then somewhere between fifteen minutes and an hour before we can go through the security checkpoint, depending on what our gate is.

Our flight is scheduled to take off at 7:15 am, and it goes to Salt Lake City, where we need to change for a flight to Reno. We are staying at the Peppermill for WorldCon.

We are waiting for the whole boarding thing while pondering why Delta doesn't want people to sit together.

As we are not Special Priority Top Rank Whatever fliers, certain seats were off limits to us, specifically, all of the aisle and window seats. So, we have two middle seats.

But, if ordinary and ordinary Priority members, like us, can't get aisle or window, we take middle, thus ensuring the Special Priority Top Rank Whatever people can't fly with their companions either. 'Tis most strange!

We are at the gate in Salt Lake City. Both here and on the Baltimore end, actual human beings were able to switch our seats. The crew on the Baltimore flight offered a closet for the harp, so she got a private cabin.
