mnemex and I stopped into a Staples, as he wanted to buy a mini-stapler. He picked one up, and I said that I supposed we had to pay for it. He say that, unless they were giving it to him for free, that was indeed the case.
Well, this was the one day that month on which that particular stapler was being given away for free. What do you know. So, we got one for me, too.
