I ordered a custom made dice bag at GenCon, and it arrived yesterday. It's nicely big, with lots of internal pockets. I did a stress test. Ignoring the tiny d6s I own that are better used as beads than as dice, it can hold all of the dice I want to put in it, plus four more cubes of d6s. If I add my -other- dice bag, of dice that I consider good enough, but don't generally carry, then, it starts to overflow, though it might not if I move some of the dice to the internal pockets.

But the thing is, here I have the dice bag to end all dice bags, and I don't -want- to put all my dice in it. I don't want to put the dice that I don't normally use at all in it. I suppose this makes sense, as, if anything happens to the nifty dice bag, I've got emergency back up dice. Of course, what's most likely to happen is I neglect to take it with me somewhere, and then, having both it and the back up bag at home does me little practical good.

And there are about 4 cubes of d6s that I don't want to pack into it (as opposed to the 2 cubes I did pack into it). A cube is 36 dice, although 2 of the cubes are missing a couple of dice. See, when I gm, I use OTE as my system of choice, and that's all d6s as written. So, it's really convenient to grab 2 or 3 of the cubes and start playing.

The dice I tend to consider my all purpose travelling dice fit into a small bag. I put this in the main compartment of the dice bag. Realistically, I'm not likely to need more than that. But it is such a nifty dice bag!
