mnemex and I met my folks on Thursday. We went to a Korean place, doing their spicy sashimi salad (Hwe Do Bop, IIRC), a seafood pancake, eel, something with pork, and an odd sushi roll called a Snow White -- white tuna on top of rice wrapped around breaded pear.
Saturday, we met with his parents and uncle at a Chinese restuarant for shrimp with lobster sauce, bok choy soup, seafood dumplings, Hunan lamb, a house special sushi roll, and a beef dish.
The Korean place played Beatles music on the radio. The Chinese place played Christmas music.
