Not necessarily in that order.
The folks at Cosmic Comics took back the defective Sanctuary #8, handing me cash on the spot and de-crediting my account, which is only fair, as I de-purchased the item. (They give $20 credit for each $100 of stuff you buy. These days, that's not hard to do.)
Monday,
mnemex and I went to his uncle's for Passover, where I had the best gefilte fish I've ever tasted. Good matzoh ball soup, lovely charoset and bitter herbs -- heck, you know it's good when the most boring dish is the pot roast. The macaroons were, um, fuzzy and greenish, and only mnemex noticed before we opened them, but there were some nice cookies which we had instead.
Tuesday, we met my folks at Won Jo, an upscale Korean place on 32nd that's open 24 hours. We had eel teriyaki, hwae moo chim (sashimi salad with spicy sauce), seafood pancake, squid soup, and some kind of yummy barbequed beef.
Today, we just finished submitting a revised event description for GenCon. Inspired by Columbia University Games Club, we are organizing an Iron Ref event. mnemex decided we could cut it from 8 to 6 hours, which is a Good Thing. Still allows for slippage.
I'm almost done with 3rd drafts of Jamais Vu character sheets for the April 25th larp. A few more tweaks, maybe, but that's the bulk of my work. Stephen's working on system stuff. I'm hoping to spend time with Erik getting the nits picked at. We keep asking ourselves: Okay, so, is there enough plot if no one gets memories back? Is there enough plot if everyone gets them back in the first hour? And now, I'm asking: What if we get too few? What if we get too many? We wrote 15 main roles, and have, iirc, 9 questionnaires, 1 belonging to someone who may not be able to make it. Too few is still a possibility -- we could cut to 13, or -maybe- 11 -- but Stephen assures me that too many is Not a Problem.
I started Robin McKinley's Sunshine, but I keep letting myself get distracted from that. I shouldn't do that.
