My dad picked up some manga on sale, and wants to know if they're good, potentially valuable, or what.

Here's his list:

"Mobile Fighter Guddam", Kouichi Tokita with Hajime Yadate and Yoshiyoki Tomino

"Tokyo Mew Mew", Mia Ikumi and Reiko Yoshida

"Digimon", Yuen Wong Wu

I know zilch about these. Anyone know anything about them?

I think English translations. I think he bought them at Costco. D'ya know what they're about?

Hm, turns out I actually do have some idea

If “Guddam” is a typo for “Gundam”, then the first is probably a series in the large and ever-expanding Gundam battle-suit war-story franchise. I think Gundam Wing is currently the most popular of these, but I could be wrong.

Digimon is an early Pokémon knock-off that has some degree of popularity. The anime is translated and carried over here, and it’s got a card game and other merchandise.

I dunno about the other one, but Google could probably tell you. If he got them at Costco, then I’m sure you could pick them up off the shelves of any Barnes & Noble for $10 a pop.

Here, Tokyo Mew Mew, from the TokyoPop website:
Ichigo is out on a hot date with her 'crush' when suddenly she's involved in an odd incident in which her DNA is merged with the DNA of an almost extinct wildcat. When four other girls' DNA is merged with the DNA of four other almost extinct animals, it's apparent that they're part of a much bigger plan. Ichigo and her friends have been chosen to become a part of a secret project called the "Mew Project." Their mission: To protect the planet from aliens who are using the planet's animals to attack humans.
