Finished 3 more first drafts of PCs for Dark of the Moon. 43 to go. Plus Blue Sheets and NPCs.
agrumer had an interesting idea for the Prime Time Adventure Anime game I'd been thinking of running. We'd already established that, between the orignal Cthulhupunk campaign and the Twenty Years After campaign, an anime series had been made about his PC, Harry Kelton. It was called Fearless Immortal Demon Hunter Keruton (or at least, that was the English translation of the title).
A 7 session campaign of Keruton could be a hoot. I wouldn't have to be bound by, well, anything set down in the Cthulhupunk world, since this is its fiction. I'm not sure what the other PCs should be. agrumer says that
mnemex should play the anime Firemaker, who would be called James + the Japanese translation of "Firemaker", and who would be a cross between a coyote shaman and a Buddhist priest, because, he says, they always work the Buddhist priest in there somewhere.
mnemex isn't sure if someone should succeed more often in a spotlight episode. agrumer disagrees, but knows what mnemex means, and suspects that this can be handled by defining "success" with care. ("What's at Stake", for those familiar with Dogs in the Vineyard.) agrumer also wonders if it'll be tricky to get all the other players into the flow of things, where they participate actively, even if they have no PC in a given scene. I think we can manage that.
I don't know if this will come to pass, but I'd be quite happy to give it a try. Hey, we can always shoot, er, run the pilot episode and see if it works.
