My desktop confused me some time ago. I put a really cute SD card in a really cute device -- I think it's a card reader -- and plugged it into a USB drive on my computer. But I could not get the computer to read the memory card.

A couple of nights ago, [livejournal.com profile] mnemex and I tried this again, and figured out that what I wanted was Removable Drive E, not Memory Card Z. mnemex wondered why the computer thought it had two items, not one.

I watched my computer boot up today. Memory Card Z has to do with our printer. I'm not sure what it is or where, but it's a printer thing, not an SD thing.

Anyway, I've saved the latest spreadsheet of the Roman Bath larp to my computer. T-10 to the convention, where we see if anyone actually shows up. 10 days to buy a bathing suit.

Have you checked the rear of the printer? It's not terribly unusual for recent printers to have a Compact Flash reader tucked away somewhere.

Rear, nothing -- it's a networked multifunction with a decent suite of memory card readers.
